From the 11th to the 13th of July 2025, Team Pink (exec and assistants alike) travelled to Liverpool for the annual Team Pink working weekend! It was 3 days full of admin, tiktok filming, policy, and what Rose and myself insisted was ‘team bonding’.
The weekend started on Friday the 11th of July, with half the team luckily already residing in Liverpool, the rest of us travelled in from various areas of the country. Once we arrived, we got stuck in with pitching tents and cooking dinner, which was a scrumptious meal of fajitas. We sat down after our meal and had a great chance to chat and catch up (because we didn’t do that enough in our last TP meeting only a week or two before). Among catching up, we analysed our agenda for the weekend and set up a plan for what we’d be getting up to. We headed off to bed that evening dreaming of policy writing and factsheets, well at least maybe Jack and Ewan were…
Saturday morning rolled around and we were blessed with some gorgeous weather again. After we chowed down on breakfast and suncreamed up, we began our working day. Some of the group worked on factsheets, some of the group worked on policy, some worked on publicity guides, and some of the group (or maybe just one) even managed to do their scout online training! Nem also amazingly counted and organised all the stock in the SSAGO shop! We chugged along doing our work with some conversations in between, both SSAGO related and SSAGO adjacent things alike, because lets be real we don’t talk about a whole lot else! And finally after what felt like too many hours of policy writing, we had a lovely curry for dinner and headed to the local Hollywood bowl! We had a thrilling two games of bowling where we quickly learnt that Jack is a surprisingly skilled bowler, but Jack, Nem, and Ewan made it onto the top strikers of the day board! After our team bonding session we headed back to camp for what was on the agenda as ‘big fire’, and that it was! We had a big old campfire where we had another great chance to chat and bond, and where maybe one too many people were slightly peer pressured into a tiktok video or two…
Sunday rolled around quickly, and after a chill morning of packing away the shop, other SSAGO belongings, and our own kit, we parted ways off to our homes. All in all it was a productive and fun weekend, where we got stuff done and enjoyed getting to know each other. Here is to the 2025-26 Team Pink, it’s going to be another great year!
