The Committee Colander for 2026 was awarded to the SUGS (Swansea) Committee 2025-2026
SUGS have had a great year with a 35% increase in membership. This is mostly due to the creative and varied socials including mini pioneering, Taskmaster, badge nights and Gwen's 2nd Birthday Party. Many of their socials have involved fundraising and collaborating with other societies such as the History soc. They also hosted an international online World Thinking Day social with international Scouts and Guides.
They have also made an effort to be more inclusive with committee being mental health first aid trained, setting up a system to allow other societies to borrow equipment, including Welsh in their logo and creating committee woggles.
They also hosted an Autumn camp which included activities such crafts, baking, games, campfires and a visit to the Gower Heritage Centre. This camp received an honourable mention from the Student Union.
